Actress

by Carnage   Feb 21, 2006

Fake smiles all around,
Feet planted on the ground.
Knees weak,
Holding tears that can not leak.
Nails digging into my palm,
Voice smooth and calm.
Arms held tightly against my chest,
Mind running fast, it will not rest.
Keep going your almost done,
Say goodbye, turn and run.
Run, run and hide,
Think of how they lied.
Reach for the razor that isn't there,
Think how it's so unfair.
Forget the razor grab the pills,
Take so many that it kills.
Take them one by one,
Till your body's dead and done.
Embrace the feeling,
As if your floating.
The world turns gray,
Even though it's day.
Darkening more and more,
Lay down on the floor.
Breath slowly, close your eyes,
Suddenly hear sharp, piercing cries.
Bright lights, loud sounds,
Feel as if I'm rising from the ground.
Pain upon my chest,
A pain unlike all the rest.
White room, white walls,
People talking, making calls.
People notice I'm awake,
Now they know I'm just a fake.
I'm an actress, a good one too,
They believe me as they always do.
"It was an accident," I say,
"It wasn't supposed to end this way."
Soon I'm home, back in the pain.
If I'm not dead, I'll go insane.
