Shape of things to come

by Just Another Romantic   Feb 21, 2006

Every me and every you
and everything we all do
it won't change a thing
our generation is too far in
we can't live without society but it can live without us perfectly fine

it won't ease your mind it won't ease my mind
we are too far in a life that is missing
we lost our sense of meaning
i look around tell me what do you see
tell me what you live for?
tell me why you wake up everyday?
what is the the reason that makes you stay?

i don't understand this life we lead
it has no purpose
we follow leaders that we criticize
we understand that the bad is bad for us
but we indulge everything
and the liquid sex runs down my body

i think there is so much at stake
serve your money on a plate
what you think of this society?
please tell me
because it looks just like me
that it's selfish and unkind
never naked never exposed

it can never breath
what we see on T.V. is what we believe?
i don't believe that I'm the last romantic to walk the streets
so if you are one of me please come along
and show the world it's real beauty

where has all the true love gone?
where have all the hearts with meaning been?
this potential that i feel is covered by the darker things in life
just the media and those fake princess girls
all i see are those boys with all their foolish clothes

too much poison in this world
every me and every you
is slowly sounding the same
no one is original
so for all the rebel's live it out loud
show that it's all about something else

i think I'm feeling sick
sweating in the hospital
and the doctors left me behind
i borrowed space and time

don't tell me this is our future
is this things to come
because i don't know what shape it's going to turn up to be
