December

by authum darkness   Feb 21, 2006

The snow falls from the cloudy sky
And hits the dormant ground
Pine trees covered by snowflakes
A couple skates around an ice rink
Children build snowforts
Families make hot chocolate
Carolers are singing on doorsteps
Christmas is all around
Children open their gifts
Couples curl up by fireplaces
New Year's Eve is creeping up
People celebrate with friends
To ring in the New Year
And when the clock strikes midnight
I count the days until December comes again

You painted a very expressive image of the December month. I could picture the different things happening as you descibed them, especially the Cocoa, my sweet addiction, lol. Great poem hun! I also read your Codebreaker poem, but I couldn't comment on it so I will try later. It is a sweet poem, and I bet Tony would/did love it. You sound like you really love eachother which is always great. Best to you!
