The Best Friend You Could Be

by Bella   Feb 22, 2006

You don't have to apologize for me,
Cause you're the best friend you could be.

Even though I'm bleeding inside,
You're the only one I can confide.

You're the shoulder I can lean on,
When I'm sad, depressed, and crying.

You dry my tears,
and take away my fears.

I wish you could steal me away from my family,
I'm a prisoner and will never be set free.

Even though I'm a withering flower,
and my petals have lost their sheen.

When I hang with you,
They seem to come alive again.

Every moment I can't see you causes me pain,
and I wait until I see you again.

Though I seem to hide my scars well,
You can always find them cause you've been through the same hell!

We aren't so different, you and I,
We are both dying and bleeding inside!

Thanks for being the best friend you can be,
In this endless emotional sea.
