Only in my dreams

The sun burns in the sky
leaving behind a pile of ashes,
burning like desire in your eyes
you turn to me with a smile.

As pure and innocent as spring
your touch southerns my sighs
and your lips relax my eyes
as we settle down tonight.

The scent of your skin
lingers in the air
as you touch my glossy hair,
holding your stare.

But as i wake, i wipe
the sleep from my eyes.
Then i begin to cry,
knowing your not in my life.

I can only have you in my dreams,
lying by silver streams
and old willow trees,
wishing for you over a thousand seas

Looking for you amongst the stars
knowing i can never have your heart,
I know your not far
but some how you are.

However in my heart i know
the sun will burn again
and to you i shall go...
telling how much i love you so.
