Fear Tonight

by Jordan   Feb 23, 2006

Tonight I'm the disease keeping you weak.
And I won't stop until I devour everything within.
Why do you call to me?
When you know I'll pull you deeper again.

Tonight I'm the wolf incognito.
And I'll break you into slivers with just one bite.
Why do you cling to me?
When you understand the sheep in you cannot fight.

Tonight I'm the shadow on your wall.
And I'll whisper a song until sleep deserts you.
Why do you speak to me?
When you grasp that I'm the nightmare that will ensue.

Tonight I'm a vampire seeking my prey.
And I'm going to seduce you with a mouth as sharp as a knife.
Why do you need me?
When your sure I'm going to steal the river that sustains life.

Tonight I'm yours'.
And by your side I'll stay until your bones are dust in the wind.
Why do you love me?
When you comprehend I'm the one who frightens you, my friend.

Tonight I'm fear.
