I

by Rena   Feb 23, 2006

I sing of songs
of bodies entwined
of dazzling boys
constantly on my mind

i tell a tale
of intimate grace
darkness overwhelms us
clothing us in black lace

i hum a tune
of parental dispute
grief over a lost child
left with no tribute

i hear a cry
of blood-shot pain
a step sister hushed
by her sister's vein

i smell a scent
of dried blood
from a girl's wrist
who's now up above

i laugh a laugh
of forgotten friendship
a tragic mishap
resulting in a fat lip

i sing a song
of bodies entwined
as this bullet
shoots through my mind.
