Just a girl

by Kristi White   Feb 24, 2006

She was just a girl,
she was innocent from the start.
She went to church and said her prayers
with nothing less than love in her heart.

She was just a girl.
She didn't do drugs or pot.
She never strayed from her faith
to be who she was not.

She was just a girl.
Her only crime was being born.
She was walked on and used...
yet always came back for more.

She is just a girl
as she's lying in the grave.
It's hard to believe that she gave all the love she could
but gained only a life of pain.

She was just a girl.
Her name I can't recall.
This girl was missed by few
and then forgotten by all.
