Summer time

by natalie   Feb 24, 2006

Walking bare footed on the grass,
the blades of grass tickling my
toes as i go.
The fresh breeze cuts through my hair,
the scent of wild flowers lingers in the air.

As i find a sunny patch to sit on
the sun is warming my back
telling me to relax.
I sit down placing my worn sandals
that have molded to my feet on the ground.
A peaceful place i have found.

Bees happily humming their tune
poppy heads dancing til noon,
the fragrance of summer looms.
And i am here to enjoy the view,
the perfect gift that summer brings.

As the sun settles down for the night
i can feel a lil chill run down my spine
i think its time to go in for the night.
But tomorrow i will be here again...
not missing one moment of summer.

As i listen to the bees,
the perfect hummers.
