Black Swans

by Luna Akasha   Feb 26, 2006

1. Two black swans embrace,
Cradled by the whispering wind.

Dancing on the wind,
Entwined.
Black Feathers rising and falling.

A magpie appears,
Singing mournfully,
Promises of sorrow.

2. The swans,
Falling to the withered earth,
As if struck by Thors Hammer.

A mass of silky darkness.

3. The mass begins to metamorphose.
This silky darkness turns to beauty,
Quenched by misery.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. Two twins emerge,
Embracing.
Two halves of a whole.
One white, like snow.
Victorian porcelin.
Cloths of pure white linen drape her forlorn figure.
Nought but velvet rags.
Moonstone adorns her arm.
The other, black,
Like a stormy, moonless night.
Her rags, dark,
With a hue of dust from ages past.
Satin and lace grace her skin -
Her dark, like stormy skies skin.
Onyx nestled at her throat.
5. Holding eachother gently,
Growing amourous with caressing.
The pair of beauties seem like lillies,
Blowing in the wind.
6. But something is odd.
For it seems the lovers are joined.
Joined in equal maddness and mayhem.
As this spectacle continues, sure enough,
They are fused together by the rib!
Oh the horror.
Black beauty and white purity,
Identical sisters and lovers -
Locked eternally.
Still caressing eachother,
With burning passion -
They kiss.
Lips touching and searching for something unknown.
Swaying and turning with the wind.
Dancing again.
7. Another magpie appears in the nightly gloom -
Two for joy.
What does all this mean?
The twins suddenly,
Fall to the aching ground.
Nestled in eachothers arms.
They begin to melt.
8. Merging into one ,
Together altlast and the black swan reappears.
She rises into the night by the soft wind.
Dark, angelic like wings outspread.
The goodness of the white lily goddess -
Fused with the darkness of the black beauty goddess.
Good loves evil,
Evi loves good -
Without it there would be nothing -
Goddesses entwined.
9. As the velvet wind rises stronger,
A magpie is blown away,
Leaving all the sorrow.
And the swan melts once more,
Becoming at one with the night sky.
With the Moonstone and Onyx slowly fading away.
