Searching

by Washley   Feb 26, 2006

Laughter, happiness, and old friendships fill these concrete walls of mine. I see grandma, and grandpa at the zoo and a little girl antagonizing the monkeys. I see the horrible past of Mike I heavily carry with me. I decide to look for something I am not sure of what it is but when I see it I will know. I shuffle through the piles of boxes. The boxes resemble skyscrapers were I would one day like to work. I abandon my search in the basement; I will look up stairs I say to myself.

Again I see boxes and a large moving truck, the truck disappears down the street. Happy and sad I am happy with my new home sad I have left my old. I retreat to my room were I continue my search for that thing. I open my dresser drawers throwing things left and right. Through all the mess I see my dad home from a hard day at the, â??officeâ?? he heads up the stairs I choo As I enter the room my dadâ??s body slowly vanishes as if it were the nothingness in the air. When I glance around the room I soak in everything I see. Manikins dressed in beautiful apparel stand before me. I see a box with a name inscripted on it this is my name I see, inside the box is the most radiant sarong ever. I look on the walls to see if that thing is there I see a degree with my name, a degree of Fashion and Design. I open the curtains and look out side there is the city I sigh finally I have found that thing I was looking for I have found me.
