"Breath of Life"

by Amber Moonstone 2/10/06

When you are sad, Just Breathe;
When you are angry, Just Breathe;
When you are about to say something
you will regret, Just Breathe.

Have you noticed that when you get angry,
or sad or anxious, you hold your breath?

That is the thing that you shouldn't do,
If you breathe in fresh air,
it will rejuvenate and relax you.
Even if it is only for that one breath.
That one breath may mean the difference
between negative and postive energy.

Breathing is the first thing you should do,
when you are upset or angry.

We tend to go off on someone, before
thinking, and if you were to train yourself
by taking a deep breath before speaking
or shouting, you can save yourself
much negativity and wasted energy.
Not to mention the effect it will have on others.

I practice the breathing method of relaxation,
Taking in a cleansing breath,
letting it out slowly and continuously,
a few times.
It is amazing how this
can just take you to a
relaxed state of mind and body.

The best place to practice is at the ocean or
out on a crisp winter morning.

There is something about the ocean's breeze
that sweeps through to your soul.

Next time you feel the need to be out of control
stop just for a second and take in two deep
breaths, See what an amazing transformation
takes place in your reaction.,

Just Breathe!

Author's Notes: Breathing, try it as a substitute for yelling or crying, or feeling sad.
Just Breathe!

Peace, love, light, and Breath of life,
Amber Moonstone
