Claire

Claire when you look in the mirror what is it you see?
You're eyes glaze over like rain on a window,
Watching the living dead staring, watching them cry,
You hate that girl in the reflection, don't you?
Well baby, don't hide from her.

Claire why do you act so different, like you're someone else?
Is it what you want the other people to see?
Is it how you want to see yourself?
But sweetheart you know it's not you,
And you know soon everyone else will too.

Claire why do you cry at night-times, wishing you would die?
You shake and turn, and the tears come streaming down,
I watch you making the same mistakes over and over,
You hate the person you've become, don't you?
Yet you need her to live and breath.

Claire why do you hide from your reflection?
The person you've now become,
Is it because you see who you are,
Is it because you're scared to admit?
Scared to show the world.

Claire, don't hide away your true self,
Don't pretend to be who you're not,
Open your eyes and look out to the world,
And see all the people who care,
About you, Claire, you.
