Shards Of Glass

by Amber Moonstone   Mar 1, 2006

"Shards of Glass"

As I pick up the shards of glass that just fell,
So, As I pick up the pieces of my shattered life,

They glisten with enticement,
As the men that have come in and out of my life,

As I touch an ever tiny piece of glass, I feel a trickle of blood leave my body,
So, As the last man has touched my life, his leaving has taken every trickle of feelings from my body.

Author's Notes: "Shards of Glass" was written at a time in my life when I lost my true soulmate. I know he will be back, but only he can make that happen!
