My dancer in the rain

by katie!   Mar 1, 2006

A life without your love dear, is as dark as blackest night
Days without your kindess are full of pain
Shadows taunt me throughout whilst I search for your care
Every day a trial in the pouring acid rain

I love you, dearest fire burning through the dark
I love you as though there are no stars in the sky
I love you through the wind, through the hurricanes death
I love you with you I fly so incredibly high

I miss you, with every living cell in my body
At nights I lie awake dreaming of our times
I know I've hurt you with my painful lies
I know I have commited sinful worded crimes

As elvis says "A little less conversation, A little more action"
So come on baby lets get moving
Come back to me my love, we can dance through the night
Singing together like we used to c'mon lets get grooving

Every night when I dream of you, I can feel your body in mine
Feeling your lips press against my skin, I am cleansed of pain
Lets get out lives together, fight off those foes
So you can be my angel, my dancer in the rain

A little sad but packed with emotion.
To loose a loved one no matter what the reason always leqaves a void we have a need to fill...

Awesome poem, I really liked how you brought in Elvis. A good song, and the lyrics are amazing. A very strong poem you have written, I really enjoyed every word of it.
