White Rose Petals; A Splash Of Red

by Iyla   Mar 2, 2006

Scattered on the marble floor
white petals laid silently everywhere
a note laid amongst the purity
no sign of anyone there

a path led up the stair case
a knife sparkled, glittering on the ground
petals no longer white
red liquid was only found

the crimson trail led to a room
and there she laid
she's such a beauty
she'd been dead for days

the note was her last
she said every petal white & red
was for every second she thought of him
wishing to be more then friends

for she loved him and he had another
now she lay cold and dead
hoping he would remember the white rose petals
with a splash of red

The last line might sound a little better if you added "With a splash of crimson red"

    I like it though.
