My TrueSelf

My true-self
is hidden from the light
something no one will ever see
unless you help me set it free
A new face
I wear everyday
a smile that continually hides the pain
so dark and full of shame
in my inky cloak of self blame
Black
a color that helps hide the solemness
so secretive and dark
a perfect color to hide the tears
Struck
with the arrow that pierced my lonely heart
my deep love set apart
Help Me
find my way
Help Me
show my real face
Help Me
reveal my true-self
