Fade Away

by tenda   Mar 3, 2006

With tears we watched you leave us,
and slowly fade away.
our hearts were truly breaking,
as we stood there on that day.
god saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be,
he closed his arms around you and whispered "come with me".
tired and weary you made no fuss,
you tried so hard to stay with us.
you fought a battle to hard to fight although you did with all your might.
long were the times you bore the pain, waiting for a cure that never came.
you suffered so much but told so few you never deserved what you went through.
a million times we've needed you, a million times we\'ve cried.
if love alone could of saved you, you never would of died. in life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in my heart you hold a place no-one else will ever fill.
we long for your presence and the sound of your voice but sadly your leaving was never a choice.
happy, smiling always content.
loved and respected wherever you went.
always loving, thoughtful and kind these are the memories you left behind.
we think of you in silence and often speak your name, all we have now are memories and your pictures in a frame.
to your resting place we wonder and place flowers with loving care,
no-one knows the heart ache as we turn and leave you there.
god made a grandmother so good and so kind and i had the privlidge to say she was mine.
woever said sorrow would be forgotten in time could never of had a granmother like mine.
for those with grandm, others love them whlr you can because i would give hte world and more to have mine back again.
next time i see you grandma will be at heaven\'s door, where you are waiting and we will cry no-more.
i\'ll put my arms around you and kiss you smiling face then the peices of my broken heart will fall back into place.
