Buried

by Moonbeam   Mar 4, 2006

We buried you today, a coffin of white
Always wishing it wasn't in sight
Service sang hymns today for you
Your friends were there and none that you knew
The preacher said to you a prayer
But there was peace everywhere
We went to your grave where you now lay
As I kneel and cry my baby please stay
They throw dirt on your grave
But in my life I know what you gave
Sleep tight my angel, soar in the sky
I will see you my angel when I die
It isn't my fate, but I will see you my angel above
Embrace the night it is full of love
We light a candle tonight, flickering in the night
Always to hold on your memories so tight
