Last goodbye

by BeCcY BoO   Mar 4, 2006

This is my last goodbye,
I never really got to say it,
I was only 5,
Turning 6.

I remember asking everyone,
â??Where is Grandfather?â??
They said you werenâ??t there.
They were right,
You were gone.

I never really understood what happened?
I knew you were sick,
I could see it,
By the way you moved,
Slow,
Shaky,
Lacking the energy.

They told me you were gone,
That you had died,
It never really hit meâ?¦until now,
That you would never return.

So much has happened since you left,
There are 2 more Caulfieldâ??s now,
Thomas Michael and Emily Rose,
You would love them,
I know you would,
They are gorgeous.

I miss you so much,
I need you now more than ever,
Sometimes it feels like you are near,
Whenever I see a Magie I think of you,
I remember sitting on your lap,
When you were in you wheelchair,
I remember helping daddy push you in it.

I love you Grandfather,
I miss you heaps,
I know you are watching down on me,
I know you are still always here to listen,
I just wish you were with us,
To watch us,
Your grandchildren,
Grow up and be the best that they can be.
