Eternity Of Rest

by LonelyNightsHurt   Mar 4, 2006

You never expected me to do this
You never thought I’d have the will
But tonight’s the night I’ve had enough
And tonight will mark my blood’s spill

I don’t want to have to endure this life
I have been crazy, for every single year
So, while you must mourn for your loss
Please don’t show to much fear

I will be in a better place eventually
I will have everything I could ever dream
So, please don’t wake me from this sleep
Because it won’t ever be as it will seem

It may look like it is quite painful
To the untrained eye it will look excruciatingly sore
But, to the followers of pain, they’ll understand
The first love of the knife, is to follow it’s sacred law

One must do as they wish, as they want
One must do what they choose
One must make the decision in life
Whether it will really be a win or lose

My decision has been reached this night
Again, no more lies or deception from you
You asked me just yesterday what I wanted
And I said I just wanted you to be true

You lied to me, I don’t blame you
I’ll forgive you for your sins, as you’ll forgive mine
And in time, you will learn
That there’s never a day where it will all be fine

I didn’t want it to come to this, did you know?
But in the end, it’s probably going to be best
Because tonight, when I lay down to sleep
I will be laying down for an eternity of rest
