Jailhouse King

by They Call Me Megan   Mar 5, 2006

When you bowed on one knee it was obvious you'd be my jjail houseking
Walking away you sat erect on your jewel encrusted throne in a damp, gray scale cell
But your interior was nothing short of hollow
You saw the cold, iron bars as pillars of fool's gold while your weak and pale hands snaked their way around them
Tighter, tighter until your knuckles burned white: bound with relinquishing fury
Exiting the fortress you rudely call a heart I heard a disgusted sneer
Sneer all you desire, the crime was committed by your shameful hand
I tried to close the heavy metal doors but stopped before it snapped shut for eternity
Your voice tapped into my buzzing brain for one more torment
No! Don't think twice, it was his fault
I can't let myself be a duped another time
But wait, it should be you in that room
Yes, you are destined for imprisonment
I fought away your poison, shut the door.
Shut it, now, Now.
With one quick click the entrance was locked
I slumped into the depths, moved on.
Far behind, the last remnants of your final scream pierced your vessels
Locked into your own mausoleum
Black heart.
