A Perfect Day

by sc   Mar 6, 2006

As the raindrop fell upon his cheek,
Her gaze met with his own, he could not speak.
He leaned in for the chance to land a kiss,
He was so anxious that he nearly missed.
He wanted to spend more time before dark.
Hand in hand and heading toward the park.
Soon as they arrived there, the sun peaked out.

It was all so perfect he had no doubt.
No more clouds to make the day go bad.
One of the most perfect days they had had.
They walked and talked, time had passed by so fast.
All their worries seemed to be in the past.
Now it was almost time to go home soon,
The pond reflected the light of the moon.
