Betrayal of Love

by Kristie   Mar 7, 2006

Cupid's arrow was meant to give her love,
But left a hole for darkness to bleed in.
She sits waiting for a light from above.
To take her where sadness has never been.
Left in cold blackness with nowhere to go,
Screaming for help that no one is giving.
She has nothing left for her heart to grow,
Is there a reason to keep on living?
Her life destroyed by just one single man,
Who used her for pleasure and left her scars.
Now she's decided on this one last plan,
To leave her worries and shoot for the stars.
Betrayal of love led her to her death,
As she stabs her heart with her final breath.

----written in the form of a shakespearean sonnet----
