A New Sky

by Michelle   Mar 7, 2006

As she grows older, more things change,
The future is as clear as an open range,
She’s come so far, through good and bad,
She now holds things she never had,
Her fists start to loosen as she lets go,
Memories escape, that no one will ever know,
A chance for a beginning, it’s now her turn,
She starts a new path, from pain she’s learned,
Her eyes are now bright, instead of blank,
She won’t relive times when her heart sank,
The curve of her lips creates an unfamiliar smile,
She is uneasy; joy has not come in a while,
Without turning back, or saying goodbye,
She leaves the tears she used to cry,
Looking up to the sky, a secure hue,
With a look of merit, she says Thank you.

Hey this is good, just correct the spelling appearances which is due to this site's problem but it surely disturbs the intensity of poem.
