Undercover

by _Giving Up_   Mar 8, 2006

She sits in her room as the tears fall down,
Remembering what took place,
Trying to get rid of her frown,
Not wanting to look at his face.

She remembers his anger and the hate in his eyes,
The fact she did nothing wrong,
She tries to cover up the cries,
And the fact that she doesn't belong.

He came in her room and hurt her bad,
Proved that his love was fake,
she knew that he would make her sad,
She knew what his hate would eventually make.

But she tried to ignore it and not show her fear,
And she thought it would all be OK,
Now her fear has brought her here,
And she doesn't know what to say.

Alone she sits with a blade in her hand,
Cutting away the pain,
Not knowing what she'll do in band,
When her friends look near her vein.

She becoming accustomed to this way,
Of not letting her feelings show,
Feeling like she just can't say-
She doesn't want others to know.

So the next day she sits in school.
Pretending that all is well,
Acting like everything is cool,
Until the final bell.

When she gets home she feels terribly bad,
Because she lied to her friend,
So at herself she gets mad,
And the cutting starts again.

Day by day things get worse,
But she can't tell anyone,
She must convince herself first,
That her battle will be one.

Secretly she cries each night,
Slowly beginning to fade,
Wanting to win this stupid fight,
Between her and the blade.

She tells heself she can't handle anymore,
That the game she cannot win,
She'd rather be dead lying on the floor,
Then another day to begin.

Each day she lives is a day she's brave,
Facing the world on her own,
Her life is what she wants to save,
Her unhappiness goes unknown.
