Even the fragile have secrets

by Ellieh   Mar 8, 2006

Even the fragile have secrets i mutter
even the fragile can fall
even the daft may fail
and even the wise may loose all

why am i so cynical you may ask
to answer that you must look into the past
But I'm to afraid to go back
its courage that i lack
fear wont let me go back

I live in the shadows
where the fear resides
I'm afraid to open up
I'm afraid of what i might find
i fear every day I'm losing more of my fragile mind

Retreating inside of my self
i take a look around
the fear of the unknown
a fear of loss i cant explain
i fear I'm going insane

Clawing at my skin
it rips
blood rushes out
red it is and its all about

beneath my skin
lay fragile wings
i tried to hide them inside
Ive screamed my pain a thousand times
nothing changes not my lines
I'm tired of running
I'm not getting any further away
but I'm losing my sanity
more & more each day

And so you see even the fragile have secrets
which we hide from the world
We consort in the darkness
hiding from the light
we have no strength and fear the light
No one knows of our secrets for we are just the frail
fighting to stay upright
