Her Wings (2)

by Kailey   Mar 8, 2006

They walked together hand in hand,
smiling weakly to approach the crowd.
The quietly took the stand,
Both of them looking to the ground.

.........................................................

Both shifting their eyes slowly,
locked in the audiences gaze.
They all listened closely,
to each and every pharse.

.........................................................

Everything was quiet after the ceremony,
Sixteen years it read on the grave.
Without her the house was lonely.
Why couldn\\\'t she be saved.

..........................................................
Her Mom softly thinks,
What did we do wrong?
Her life was gone in a blink.
If only she knew she didn\\\'t have long.

........................................................

Her Dad collects his thoughts,
She said, I can hear the angels sing.
He had no clue of the sorrow brought.
But now his baby had her wings.
