Defeat

by elise   Mar 9, 2006

When is all is done and lost alone,
and all us there depart,
a song has sang its merry parade,
that stomped all over my heart.

The guns were fired into the night,
I stared in lost longing awe,
my life is shattered, my feathers bent,
by all that I have saw.

Although my strife will linger,
I will not cease to begin,
by life and love with food and light,
I will never lose my sin.

When the sun is back,
and I can't see its shine,
just go on and live your life,
this soft sorrow is only mine.
