The Locket

Her life fell apart right before her eyes
and slowly her soul died.
She didn't know where to run
had no place to hide.

she thought no one will miss me
if I'm gone
why not end it
right here
right now.

she pulled the knife
from her pocket
cutting her neck
right by the locket

blood stained and dead
the night her family
and friends still dread.
Now she lies in the dirt

no feeling what so ever
of sadness, pain, and hurt.
The pain she caused
will never be forgot

neither will her laughter
her face
her soul.
But what those people
will never know

is that all she wanted
was to be loved by one person.

Her father breaks down
screaming and yelling
remembering all the
times her called her down.

Her mother cries
in racking sobs
and thinks of what
shes been robbed.

The police come by
and hands her mother a bag.
She looks inside
and tears fill her eyes.

The locket open wide.
Written in the locket
over the photo
was words that tore
her mothers soul.

The words written
still burn her mothers heart
like a burning coal.

The words she wrote over
the photo that day,
she never dared to say.

But that night
it all came out of pain,
all those words
slowly driving her insane.

The words she wrote
on that locket
her mother had given
her were words of truth,
words unspoken.

This is what the locket said
when her mother
had given it to her.
" I love you! And thats a promise,
and promises are never broken."

well as she stared
at that saying
she wrote in there

" how dare you lie,
for these words
I speak are words unspoken!

So that is how
this story went
unlike most no happy end.

If you think
for one minute
that your friend is fine
because they have always been strong
think again you might just be wrong.

Life is long
but you never no
in the end
it might just be short.
