Why can't i say goodbye

Why can’t I say that word
The hurtful word goodbye
How much longer must I linger
Before I start to cry

I have cried to many tears
I have been through enough
Why can’t I let you go
Yea, goodbyes really are rough

I know it will be hard
Good-byes are what I fear
Still open without closures
I dry up another tear

I have to face my fear
Losing people I love so much
I have to say good bye
To get my life back in touch

Why is this word, to hard for me to mumble
I wish I could just write it, then I wouldn’t crumble
I can’t let you go there’s something puling me back
I’m sorry but strength to say good bye, I really do lack

I hate this awful word
Of letting them all go
Why did they have to forget
Was it hard to remember me so…
