You need to start from the beginning
and be taught about love.
Like when you learn to swing,
You need someone to shove.

How to hold hands,
and do it just right.
Then get yourself out
of that silly little fight.

We need to crawl,
before we walk.
Then ask
before we talk.

Have a heart
for it to break.
Have it whole,
and worth for someone to take.

Pass the test,
to go on in life.
You need to know you're loved?
So that you don't use that knife.

We need to be assured
before we're even sure.
You need the medicine,
for the sickness to cure.
