Everything is so perfect when I sleep, so why cant I fall?

by Andrea182   Mar 12, 2006

Its so hard to sleep when your eyes swell and salt continuously drips down to your lips.
I swallowed my pills or was it my principles I can no longer differentiate.
This sleep should be a natural state.
I removed all the clocks from my life so I can no longer hear my dreams ticking away.
I shaded all light, and cut off all sound- only my pounding mind remains.
But still I lie in this place, Always conscience yet never awake.

Very nice and originally put togethor. I liked your last lines there's a kind of dream like feel to the whole poem. It seems so effortlessly done. I liked it a lot
