Tomorrow

by dandy   Mar 12, 2006

Try once more tomorrow,
to get through another day.
Not knowing where she's going
she recedes further away.

Another night has come upon
her torn and broken mind.
Quietly she sits alone,
praying for a sign.

On a water bed of tears
she cries herself to sleep.
As tears fill the empty hole
she drowns in a river so deep.

She awakes at the start of morning
to the same life that she's known.
A heavy feeling in her heart
tells her she's still alone.

Reflection in the mirror,
looking at her only friend.
So quiet she's invisible,
and with the crowd she blends.

Another day of emptiness
passes by without a smile.
Hoping that her time will come
as her dreams lay in a pile.
