My faith

Dear Lord help me see
that you'll always be there to comfort me

to wipe my tears when i cry
forgive me when it's my faith i deny

when times are rough i look to you
to give me strength to make it through

when I'm confused and don't know what to do
i read your book to learn what's true

please help me to love and forgive all
help me back to my feet when i fall

sometimes i feel alone and need you near
to give me wisdom, whisper in my ear

i know you love me that's what you said
you cloth me, shelter me and keep me fed

Lord i thank you for everything you've given me
for the birds in the sky and everything i see

between everything you do and everything you've done
i thank you the most for giving us your son

to forgive us our sins and show us your love
to wait and welcome us in the kingdom above
