Life

What of life?
Violence and never ending strife
A place where children are mixed up with gun powder
And through each day death sound so much louder
A place where teenage mothers exist
Until they ultimately slit their wrist
A place where adultery is committed
Where candles of deception are sparked for the dumb witted
A place where a pure soul cannot move on
Where the strong is feeding on the unfortunate until they are gone
A place that issues new monthly diseases
Infecting husbands, aunts, and nieces
A place where the good die young
Where the power of a gun is equal to the power of a tongue
A place where money is stronger than blood
Where all bodies eventually end up in mud
A place where drugs hypnotize the vulnerable mind
And throws all morals and respect behind
A place where sex does sell
Where people compare life to hell
A place that is no stranger to earthquakes and volcano eruptions
Full of couples feuding and family dysfunctions
So what is life?
A short and sinful stage
Until we unlock this rusted wooden cage
Where some will enjoy afterlife
And some will rejoin the violence and never ending strife
