To my little hearbreaker

by katherine   Mar 14, 2006

9/1/05

I pinned your letter up
on my wall
across from my bed
I laid there
repeating your words
and telling myself
this must be a nightmare.

I could see the words
melting off the page
and with a sigh of relief
I covered my eyes
and laid my head down.

"Thank god!"
I screamed aloud
shoving the pillow
in my mouth
feeling so ashamed.

Denying the truth
only made
reality more of a pain.

You wouldn't approve of this.
You'd be disappointed
again.

[Mmm..kinda mish-moshed. I apologize greatly]
