My Life In Colours

by Cries at Night   Mar 14, 2006

I glow in the yellow sunshine
As my crimson lips open and say,
I wonder what vibrant colors
my moods will be today?

I yell in red
But I love in pink
Yet, a million different colors appear
When Im trying my hardest to think

I get scared pretty easily
And in the event I do
You'll see me in a pure, pure shade
Of lackluster purple and boring blue

Color me orange when Im happy
Shade me green when Im confused
Paint me gray when I am sleepy
Tint my heart violet when its bruised

The last time I was beige
Was when I had the flu
But I promise that I bore in brown
And cry tears of sapphire blue

You see my colors all the time
Though they dim a bit at night
The weirdest thing about me is
I dream in black and white
