The End of Love (Divorce)

by clare   Mar 15, 2006

I bet that day was beautiful
when the wed.
The "I love yous" and the kisses,
it was sure to never be dead.

A few years later,
and now they have three young.
All things were great;
nothing stung.

Until someone new came into the picture,
causing all kind of trouble.
He messed everything up;
I just wanted to be in a bubble.

They've grown apart
and went their separate ways.
Now I'm stuck in the middle
with all sorts of dues to pay.

Five years later,
and things are still the same.
I guess I'm getting over it;
learning to play all those heart-breaking games.

    This is excellent. Don't laugh, but two amazing teachers at my school kept they're divorce a secret and now it's like the whole school's going through it and they're going through it again. "Learning to play all those heart-breaking games" I love that line, that means a lot to me.

    Thank you !
