Make the sadness go away
Come back another day
A forgetful troubled place
A sad and troubled race

The things I've said and done
Don't matter to anyone
I try so hard to teach
What I need to do is preach

The world is a mangled place
The world is filled with disgrace
I heard screams in my silent mind
I have now left it all behind

I have seen the open door
Im not depressed anymore
I see the light now
But I dont know how

I want to stay this way
I dont want it to go away
When I close my eyes
I forget all those lies

I don't expect sympathy
I expect
