He Needs Love

A feather
Blows gently in the wind
As a lonely soul
Reaches out

Catching
The delicate feather
It lays in the palm
Of his hand

He needed
Something to hold on to
Something small
To treasure

Empty
This man has nothing
Not a soul in the world
To love him

He cries
Every night
Lost to the world
In which he lives

Love
Is what he wants
But does Love
Want him back?

He's alone
And out there still
Laying in the cold
With nothing to call his own

Waiting
For anyone to take him
In to a warm home
Where he's loved
