The Path

by BlackRoses14   Mar 17, 2006

I see your black wings staring to grow,
Your longing for another path,
A path that I can not follow you down.
A path of Pain, Suffering, and Death.
You know I can not follow you down,
That I have another path to follow.
Then If you know,
Why must you stand here before me,
And ask me,
tell me that I have to,
that I must follow you down a dark road?
I love you, like you love me,
And you know I don't want to leave your side,
But I must follow my ancestors oath.
The path of a demon, is no path for an angel like me
For if I do come, I will surely die.
The dark will suffocate me until my very last breath,
And you, will be left alone once more.
So turn and leave,
Follow your own path,
We'll see each other again, once more.
And when that time comes,
We'll stare into each others eyes,
And we'll remember the love we had,
Once upon a time.
