Feelings for you
Blocked out thoughts
Forgetting how sad I was
And crying alot

Avoiding you,
Over time,
The feelings were gone
And I was fine

Weeks without talking
There was even someone new
But everything changed
That day I spoke to you

A friendly hug
A "how have you been"
The truth was I was okay
And blocked out thoughts again

Forgetting my broken heart
And all the tears in the past
That moment all I thought about
Was wishing that hug would last

Thinking this time would be different
That you would want me too
Just as perfect as you were for me
But then remembering how wrong I was for you

Thoughts of you
Water eyes
Tore up emotions
Trying not to cry
