You're in so deep
That you don't sleep.
It seems you lay awake all night
Then sleep come the days light.

If I were there,
You wouldn't have the first nightmare.
You would sleep the whole night through.
I would lay next to you.

I would hold you close,
From your head to your toes
& I would never let you go.
maybe then the night wouldn't go so slow.

I wish you could close your eyes,
After we've said our good-byes.

& dream about something.
