Killing The Angel In You

by David Rethoret   Mar 19, 2006

What happened to the angel,
That once lived inside of you,
You covered her in grease,
And threw her in the mud,
You cut her wrist,
You stomped on her dreams,
You burned away the heaven,
She once held in her eyes,
You took all her beauty,
And made it look so ugly,
You pushed her off the cliff,
Where she'd been standing for so long,
You took love and passion,
And replaced it with blindness and lust,
How could we ever forgive each other,
For what we've done to her,
I broke her heart,
You killed her off,
She may never be fixed,
Unless WE can learn forgiveness.
