A Choice

by Gem   Mar 19, 2006

You sit there waiting,
Wishing there's a reason
Not to leave,
Not to die.

But you can't wait forever.
Death is passing you by.
Join the masses
Or stand-alone.
Force a smile
Or wear a frown.

Were you left behind?
Or just too weak to go on?

Nothing will happen,
If you don't make a choice.
It's your turn now.
You're at the front of the line.
So what will it be?
Live?
Or die?

Good poem, even though its quite short and the lines are sometimes ony a word long i think it really puts across ur point and is really well written. the formation in this poem is very effective. xxx
