FiRsT CaLL iN MoNtHs

Today you rang me out of the blue
and when i answered the phone i couldn't believe it was you
i thought you'd moved on and forgot all about me
all this time when all i wanted was us to be

for the first time in months i never thought about you
then today when you rang i didn't know what to do
you rang me to see how i had been
and told me the 2 friends of mine you'd seen

i thought you were in Sydney cause thats what you always said
but when i asked you, you said you were joining the army instead
i didn't know what to say so i said nothing at all
you said when i get credit to give you a call

so we left it like that and just said goodbye
the reason you called i couldn't work out why
maybe you've worked out your feelings for me are true
and that deep down inside you really loved me too!
