You Were To Die For

I lied alone,
Crying in my own bed,
And with all the sweet images of you,
Filling my head.

That day I first saw you,
Was the day I knew,
That my heart would soon,
Belong to you.

You soon loved me,
And I knew you were someone,
That I could lean on,
And help me to grow in so many ways.
Someone to teach me things,
Someone to be there,
Someone who acutally cared.

We were so in love,
It was you I adored,
I couldn't express my love,
Because it meant so much more.

But then something happened,
You wern't by my side,
You had left me,
And you no longer held the key,
Your love I could not feel in me.

I thought it was all a bad dream,
That I would soon awake from,
But it was more than that,
It was worse than it seemed.

Never will I understand,
Why you left me,
And made me cry,
Why you left,
Without a single good-bye.

I could never express the pain I felt,
And the hurt you left me in,
Maybe you felt the same,
But your love never came,
Never came back,
So now I know,
Its time for me to go.

So I think I'll take my life,
As I grip the gun,
Now my pain will soon be done.

There on the floor,
I lied all alone,
In a puddle of my blood,
I lay dead,
Because of a gun shot to the head,
And all the stress.
But on my dress,
There lay a note,
That read:

Dig my grave,
Make sure you dig it deep,
From head to feet,
Atop make sure you place a dove,
For the one I love.

Now I have gone up above,
With the angels,
And to soar
But remember this, your love was to die for.
