Save Her

by Frankie   Mar 21, 2006

A young girl out on her porch
Letting the sky cry along with her
All the tiny water droplets
Mask her salty tears

Mascara running down her cheeks
Clothes soaked completely through

Her long dark pants and long sleeve shirt
They cover the strawberry gashes that lie beneath

Her only friend is a blade
Her only love is the darkness
Her only fear is the pain that she endures

Why wont anyone hug her
Tell her they love her
And hold her tight

All she has is nightmares
Her life might as well be one
Screaming
Crying
Lying
Dying
Please oh please just let it all stop
Before its too late

Hey, Hannah. Wow, this is good for your first poem on this site! A tip for you: You would be surprised how much rhyming (sorry if I totally killed that spelling) can help the effectiveness of your poems. Some are okay just free writing them, but rhyme helps to keep it flowing. Good job, keep writing.
