What is a friend?

Is it someone who is there to joke around with, someone who always pokes fun? You spend time with them because with them you are never bored. They keep your life alive. You love do do fun things together, and waste away the day with them.

Those things are desired, but in reality, that is only a friend. Now, what is a true friend?

A true friend is someone who cares about what you think, feel and do. Someone who will listen to your problems, and doesn't have to have an answer, but is always there. A true friend will never let you down. They remember all of the great times you shared, and forget about the bad ones. No matter where you go, even if you are apart, they are always with you. You may or may not like the same things, but you still get along just fine. You can't tell them a lie, even though you may try - it's just so hard to keep anything from them. They care - They truly, truly care about you.

A friend may be great, and some may be true, but a true friend will always be Alyssa.
